Pupils from P5/6I are off on a tour of Aberdeen City as part of their Environmental Studies. They are studying the local area, including Aberdeen City.
The class is to be accompanied by Mr. Grant, Depute Head Teacher, Miss Irvine, Class Teacher and Mrs. Forbes, Pupil Support Assistant.
Culter Primary School will be closed to all P1-P7 pupils on 24 September 2008 owing to strike action by of members of UNITE, GMB and UNISON. Most Pupil Support Assistants and Office Staff. None of the staff working in the main building on Wednesday 24 September are trained in First Aid.
It is with regret that the school has to be closed.
However, Culter Nursery will be open as usual on Wednesday 24 September 2008.
This may cause disruption and inconvenience but the safety and and well being of the children must, as always take priority.
The school will open again on Thursday 25 September at 9.00 a.m. as usual.
Last week all classes were issued with ten Webb Ivory books per class for distribution should any family wish to order items. Once you receive and have looked through the Webb Ivory catalogue, please return the book to the Class Teacher.
Please return any orders and payments to the Class Teacher in a sealed envelope marked for the attention of Mrs. I. Watson. Cheques should be made payable to: “ I Watson”.
Please be sure to put your child’s name and class on the order and envelope.
All orders need to be in and paid for by 13 November 2008.

Staff and pupils will return on Tuesday 23 September 2008 at 9.00 a.m.
If you require sweatshirts or poloshirts we are glad to inform you that stock has arrived and we will be glad to help at the school office.
A number of Spree Books issued to pupils needs to be return to school or paid for (£23 each) by Thursday 11 September. The Spree Book Organiser is to visit Culter School to collect the unsold books and given a final payment for all sales. Thank you for help.

Please note that Miss Simpson who visits Culter School on a Monday to give our pupils Violin tuition will not be in school on Monday 8th September. Pupils who receive tuition on a Monday do not need to bring their violin on 8th September.
Our P7 pupils are to receive a letter to take home relating to a residential weekend trip to Dalguise , Perthshire on Friday 15th May 2009 returning on Monday 18th May 2009. Most of the information is in the letter – so look out for it soon. If you do not receive a letter please get in touch with the school office.
There have been a number of telephone calls to Culter School asking what the price of a school dinner ticket is for session 2008/09. Please note that one dinner ticket is £1.70 and a book of 10 tickets is £17.00. Our pupils are always encouraged to eat a healthy diet and we look forward to seeing them enjoy a school dinner soon.
